Practice Development Nurse – Band 7
With effect from 01 April 2026, NHS Scotland is reducing its full time working week from 37 to 36 hours per week, there will be no change in full time pay.
Role purpose and team
We are looking to recruit an individual to join our team with a specific focus on CAMHS. The purpose of this role is to work collaboratively with a range of people to enhance person-centred cultures and care. We would like to welcome nurses to the team who are aspirational with a desire to innovate. You will contribute to the team’s intention to continually improve person-centred care and promote cultures that enable nursing and midwifery practice to flourish.
You must be a nurse on the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council register; and be able to demonstrate a commitment to professional development through post registration learning and education. You will be able to evidence your contribution to enhancing person-centred cultures and effective workplace learning and be able to describe how you use practice development and/or adult learning theories, principles and methods to achieve this.
Candidates should have extensive mental health nursing experience; you will have excellent communication, interpersonal, facilitation and organisational skills. You will be working to a clear set of objectives but will have the support of the wider team.
