Offer description

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead critical projects, ensure operational efficiency, and drive infrastructure success. The ideal candidate will oversee commissioning and testing processes, manage project documentation, and ensure seamless system integration.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

* Compliance & Standards: Ensure all commissioning activities align with project specifications, commissioning plans, and procedures.

Testing & Execution: Conduct testing and validation to confirm installation accuracy and performance.

Interface Management: Execute commissioning and testing across system interfaces.

Documentation Control: Maintain and update commissioning records, including test scripts and documentation.

Change Management: Record and track design modifications and as-built changes resulting from commissioning tests.

Equipment & Tools: Identify specialist test equipment and tools needed for commissioning activities.

Subcontractor Coordination: Review and enhance subcontractor commissioning procedures to meet contract-specific requirements.

On-Site Witnessing: Oversee commissioning processes performed by subcontractors and specialist engineers.

Factory Acceptance Testing: Attend and witness equipment works tests when required.

Test Planning & Review: Assist in the preparation and evaluation of works test plans and procedures.

Leadership & Team Support: Mentor and direct Commissioning Engineers and Assistant Engineers, leading designated areas as instructed by the Commissioning Manager/Project Managers.

Construction & Programme Management: Coordinate construction activities that impact commissioning schedules.

Progress Reporting: Provide weekly reports to senior management, tracking progress, identifying challenges, and mitigating constraints.

Qualifications/Experience:

* 5+ years of experience in a senior commissioning role.

Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and identifying software bugs during commissioning.

Proficiency in Google Suite software (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.).

Eligibility to work in UK

Desirable:

* Strong leadership and problem-solving skills to drive successful commissioning outcomes.

A proactive approach with a commitment to delivering the best results possible.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Ability to commute/relocate:

* Newry BT35 9TR: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
