You will need to be enthusiastic and conscientious and do everything you can to provide the best care to our service users. We are looking for someone who displays compassion, empathy and is sensitive in their approach to people who may be distressed or have a challenging manner. Our primary focus is on collaborative working; placing great emphasis on the assessment/recovery model by using assessment tools relating to service user recovery and the philosophy that underpins patient centred care.
* Spending 1:1 time with service users
* Providing direct patient care such as personal care and promoting activities of daily living
* Having a good understanding of mental health diagnoses and presentation including appropriate boundaries
* Undertaking therapeutic observations of all service users
* Supporting service users on a 1:1 basis who may require varying levels of support
* Undertaking physical management of violence and aggression training to manage challenging situations
* Undertaking physical health observations and COVID swabbing
* Taking service users on leave in the community
* Working with families and carers
* Providing cross departmental working within the acute pathway as required
