Buying Analyst
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: Competitive
Contract: Initially 12 month FTC
Our client is looking for a commercially minded and analytical Buying Analyst to join their team on a maternity cover contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in purchasing, forecasting, or commercial analysis to play a key role within a fast-paced business environment.
The Role:
1. Support purchasing and forecasting activities across multiple product areas
2. Analyse supplier pricing, quotations, and cost trends
3. Maintain accurate cost and inventory data
4. Monitor supplier spend and identify opportunities for improved efficiencies
5. Support stock and raw material planning to minimise waste and maximise usage
6. Work closely with finance and operational teams to support reporting and forecasting processes
7. Assist with supplier management and purchasing administration
About You:
8. Previous experience in buying, purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or commercial analysis
9. Strong analytical and numerical skills
10. Confident using Microsoft Excel and other business systems
11. Experience with ERP systems is advantageous
12. Highly organised with strong attention to detail
13. Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
14. Fluency in Italian highly advantageous but not essential
