Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy
2. HCPC Registration
3. Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
4. Experience working within Oncology or Cancer Care services
5. Evidence of MSc modules or willingness to complete ACP/ECP
Desirable criteria
6. Member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
7. Leadership training
8. Member of Specialist interest group
Experience
Essential criteria
9. clinicians with Band 6 experience of working in the acute NHS setting
10. Experience working as an on-call respiratory Physiotherapist
11. Experience working within Oncology and Cancer Care services
12. Ability to assess, manage and treat patients with complex multi pathologies at highly specialist level at an extended role beyond core professional role, including those identified as critically ill.
Desirable criteria
13. Participation in research or QI within Oncology or Cancer Care
14. Undergraduate teaching

Knowledge

20. •In-depth understanding of the pathology of conditions that occur within a specialist area of Oncology and Palliative Care.
21. •Knowledge of the management of palliative patients
22. •In-depth understanding of NSF’s Clinical Governance and their relevance to clinical situations.
