12 month locum Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry (8 PA)

Opening 12‑month locum Consultant role in Paediatric Dentistry with 8 paid academic (PA) days. The post is based at the Edinburgh Dental Institute with sessions at the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People as agreed at job planning. The position is part of the NHS Lothian Oral Health Service, encompassing the Public and Hospital Dental Services.

Applications are welcome for a Permanent/Fixed‑Term, full‑time/part‑time (32 hours per week) post based in hospital.
Qualifications
* Registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).
* Completed four years’ full‑time postgraduate training (or its equivalent on a less than full‑time or flexible basis) since first obtaining registration, with adequate experience in the relevant specialty; or
* Equivalently trained, experienced or competent, either in the UK or overseas.
Responsibilities
* Provide paediatric dental care as part of the multidisciplinary Paediatric Dental Service.
* Collaborate with other specialty arms of the Oral Health Service and maintain close liaison with medical and primary care colleagues.
* May be required to work across NHS Lothian sites within the remit of the Oral Health Service.
