Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team.
In this role, you will support the financial operations of the organisation by processing accounts payable, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with reporting. This position is well-suited to someone with strong organisational and numerical skills who is eager to contribute to the efficiency of our finance team and develop their career within the aviation sector.
Responsibilities
* Accounts Payable Support: Process supplier invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
* Financial Record Management: Maintain and update records using Xero and OneDrive, keeping information accurate and accessible.
* Data Accuracy: Carry out data entry tasks, reconcile discrepancies, and support reliable reporting.
* Team Collaboration: Work with colleagues across the finance team and wider business to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
* Query Handling: Respond to inquiries regarding financial transactions, account balances, and supplier statements.
* Credit Control: Monitor outstanding balances, follow up on overdue payments, and liaise with departments to resolve queries.
* Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports, reconciliations, and summaries.
* Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas to enhance financial processes and develop your knowledge of accounting practices.

Technical Skills & Knowledge
* Interest in accounting, credit control, and accounts payable processes
* Exposure to financial services or administrative support (advantageous)
* Previous administrative or finance-related experience (desirable, not essential)
* Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero (experience is a bonus)
