We are looking for an experienced midwife with a genuine interest in leadership and clinical excellence to join the senior team of coordinators and community team leaders. The position will be in Chesil.
Main duties of the job
Coordinating the maternity service, being the most senior midwife present in the hospital nights and weekends. Providing leadership for the Chesil community team.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential criteria
* Registered midwife
* Degree and post graduate diploma level qualifications or equivalent
* Evidence of CPD which includes clinical leadership and management
* Driving licence and access to a car
Desirable criteria
* Qualified as a non-medical prescriber
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
* Extensive, relevant post registration experience as a band 6 midwife
* Evidence of clinical leadership
Desirable criteria
* Evidence of ability to practice as a proficient practitioner
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Essential criteria
* Evidence of ability to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, patients and families
* Evidence of an ability to manage time effectively
* Understanding of clinical governance and ability to assist in establishing systems
* Evidence of situational awareness
* Evidence of effective communication skills
* Evidence of effective organisational skills
* Evidence of how to motivate team members and promote good team working
* Evidence of professionalism and how to promote this in the clinical environment
