Overview
As Neighbourhood Manager, you will take full responsibility for the operational performance of the development, ensuring residents receive a first‑class living experience while managing on‑site teams, financial performance, leasing targets, compliance, and community engagement. We are looking for an experienced and driven Neighbourhood Manager to launch a brand new Build to Rent development and lead the day‑to‑day operations of a vibrant residential community, delivering exceptional service standards and creating an outstanding resident experience.
Responsibilities
* Deliver exceptional customer service and resident engagement across the development.
* Build and maintain strong local partnerships and community relationships.
* Manage complaints, disputes, and escalations in line with service standards and SLA timeframes.
* Manage relationships with commercial tenants and external stakeholders.
Team Leadership
* Lead, motivate, recruit, and develop the on‑site team.
* Conduct appraisals, regular 1‑2‑1s, and performance reviews.
* Drive team engagement and continuous improvement.
Operations & Compliance
* Take full responsibility for building operations and service delivery.
* Ensure health & safety and statutory compliance across the site.
* Lead fire safety strategy and compliance protocols.
* Manage contractors, suppliers, RAMS, risk assessments, and statutory obligations.
Leasing, Marketing & Financial Performance
* Support leasing strategies to maximise occupancy and minimise void periods.
* Ensure income and leasing targets are met or exceeded.
* Maintain strong local market and competitor awareness.
* Lead annual budget setting, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
Qualifications
* Experienced in Build to Rent, residential property, student accommodation, private rented sector, or hospitality management.
* A confident and respected leader with strong people management skills.
* Commercially aware with experience managing budgets and financial targets.
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
* Excellent at problem‑solving and decision making.
* A strong communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a similar management role.
* Strong operational leadership experience.
* Experience managing teams and delivering high service standards.
* Knowledge of health & safety compliance and statutory obligations.
* Experience working to KPIs, SLAs, and financial targets.
