Come and join our Cleaning Team, based at our in Exmouth. Our site plays an important role in preparing our students for a happy, healthy and fulfilling future whilst enabling students to get involved and socialise in the community.
Are you looking for work enabling you to enjoy your days while securing an income in the evening. This role has a stable weekday evening schedule from 15:30-19:00 and a term time focus with the majority of the work carried out outside school time. Our cleaning team are warm and welcoming and dedicated to keeping our spaces clean and safe for our students and staff. Key responsibilities:
• To clean allocated areas of the Academy site following Health & Safety guidelines.
• To safely use chemicals and cleaning materials as instructed by the Cleaning Supervisor following Health and Safety guidelines and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Vacuum cleaning hard and soft floors.
• Spot cleaning of spillages and other reactive cleaning issues that may arise in line with the day to day operation of the Academy.
• Wiping furniture, skirting’s, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors and polishing door glass.
• Emptying and cleaning bins (including taking to the external bin area).
• Cleaning windows at a low level.
• Cleaning toilets, changing rooms and bathrooms including sanitary fittings.
• Mopping and spray cleaning hard floor surfaces.

• Ability to communicate and follow instruction.
• High standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to manage workload and prioritise work.
• Positive outlook and good sense of humour.
