Role: Behavioural Support Worker (School Based)

Based: West Lindsey, Lincoln and South Kesteven schools

Rate of Pay: £24,971 - £27,504 FTE per annum (pro-rata for Term Time Only)

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Permanent

Hours: Part Time – 22 or 25 hours per week

Supporting Futures are recruiting on behalf of an award-winning national charity who have over 150 years’ experience supporting children, young people and adults and of offering direct, practical help to families and communities.

They are looking for Behavioural Support Workers to join their school-based teams across Lincolnshire, working with 5 – 16-year-old children who are on the edge of exclusion from mainstream education.

Main Responsibilities:

Working directly with children who are displaying distressed behaviour and will act as a point of contact for schools providing advice and guidance
Working closely with schools and families to coproduce bespoke support plans for schools and pupils to support managing distressed behaviours
Supporting children to understand, manage and regulate their behaviours
You will deliver a range of training packages to support schools and parents to effectively support children and establish various behavioural management strategies and coping mechanisms
You will actively contribute to the Inclusive Lincolnshire Strategy to promote inclusion and reduce permanent exclusions in Lincolnshire
You will be supporting children from a range of backgrounds which will includes child with SEN and children who have experienced trauma/ ACEsWhat they are looking for:

Experience of working with vulnerable children and/ or young people
Experience of working within a school setting and/ or an understanding of school processes/ have worked alongside school staff through multi agency work
Experience or knowledge of working with children with behavioural issues, children with SEN and/ or children who have experienced trauma/ Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
Experience of training/ delivering workshops or programmes would be highly desirable but not essential
Someone who is resilient, adaptable and able to think on their feet and engage hard to reach child using a variety of methods
The successful candidate will need to hold a valid UK Driving License and have access to a car
