A client within the Public Sector is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a maintenance, refurbishment, or social housing environment. The Role Key purpose of the role is to manage contractors delivering maintenance and improvement works to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: • Managing contractors on site for projects such as roof works, new kitchens, fire doors, external wall insulation, and windows. • Coordinating day-to-day maintenance and refurbishment activities. • Supporting tenants through maintenance and improvement programmes. • Providing technical advice and demonstrating strong knowledge of building maintenance and refurbishment. • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements. • Reporting progress and issues to senior management. The Candidate To be considered for this role you will require: Qualified Surveyor (MRICS or equivalent preferred, but relevant technical experience may be considered). Experience managing contractors delivering maintenance or refurbishment works. Strong technical knowledge of building systems and maintenance. Experience supporting tenants or end-users through works programmes. The below skills would be beneficial for the role: • Previous employment in a social housing or public sector maintenance environment. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. The client is looking to move quickly with this role and is offering £27 per hour Umbrella (~£21.60 per hour PAYE).
