What you'll be doing:
* Assessing and authorising applications within mandate, escalating complex cases as needed
* Delivering high-quality technical underwriting aligned with audit and compliance standards
* Communicating effectively with customers and third parties via phone, email and letter
* Coaching and mentoring team members to build technical capability and confidence
* Attending meetings with internal teams and external partners to strengthen relationships
* Monitoring service levels and identifying areas for improvement in team performance
* Analysing underwriting data to spot trends and support decision-making
* Supporting change initiatives with a flexible and proactive approach
Qualifications - Who we're looking for:
* Previous experience in financial services or a related industry
* Minimum of GCSEs in English and Mathematics (or equivalent)
* Strong understanding of AML, TCF, and Data Protection regulations
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy
* A collaborative team player with a flexible mindset
* Confidence in handling customer interactions, including complaints
* Analytical skills to interpret data and identify actionable insights
