Duties of a Commercial Paint Technician:
14. Carry out high-quality vehicle body repairs and paintwork on commercial fleet vehicles
15. Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, masking, and surface treatment
16. Apply primer, base coats, and clear coats with precision
17. Carry out minor bodywork repairs, filler application, and prepping for painting
18. Conduct trailer repairs and welding activities as needed
19. Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment
20. Ensure quality control checks are completed on finished work
21. Collaborate with team members to meet job deadlines and production targets
Candidate Specifications for a Commercial Paint Technician:
22. Previous experience as a paint sprayer, panel beater, or body builder within the automotive or commercial vehicle sector
23. Good understanding of vehicle repair processes including welding and filler work
24. Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
25. Knowledge of health and safety procedures in an automotive repair environment
26. Comfortable working on a range of vehicles including HGVs, vans, and cars
27. Reliable, punctual, and a team player
28. Experience in trailer repairs and welding is highly beneficial
