This role is for a Sr. Category Manager at Amazon Business, the B2B marketplace that meets the procurement needs of businesses of every size – from small businesses to large multinational organizations, as well as institutional buyers through a range of business-tailored features.
About the Role:
Category Managers at Amazon have end-to-end responsibility for the customer experience and growth of their assigned category. They collaborate across partner teams to deliver customer delight by making a wide range of products available for discovery, purchase, and consumption, at competitive prices and delivery commitments. Category managers anticipate customer needs and incorporate them into the functional roadmap, driving major changes or enhancements to improve customer experience. They influence category needs based on their knowledge of marketplace trends and macro-environmental data.
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Drive inputs and outputs via sellers
2. P&L ownership
3. End-to-end ownership of seller relations and stakeholder management (internal and external)
4. Collaborate with multiple stakeholders including marketing, finance, and product teams to grow the seller business
5. Lead B2B-specific programs to enhance customer experience
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* 5+ years of account management, project or program management, or buying experience
* MBA
* Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience managing large data sets and utilizing insights to drive performance and process improvements
