Role Overview:
As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will be responsible for leading their technology department and shaping their overall technical strategy. Working closely with the leadership team, you will provide strategic insights, thought leadership, and technical expertise to drive their growth, enhance their product offerings, and deliver exceptional user experiences.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a forward-thinking technology roadmap aligned with our company's vision and business goals.
2. Lead and mentor a high-performing team of developers, engineers, and technical professionals throughout the phases of the product development lifecycle.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions across various departments.
4. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on our business and identifying opportunities for innovation.
5. Assess and mitigate risks associated with technology projects, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and quality standards.
6. Oversee the security, scalability, and integrity of our technology infrastructure, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
7. Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and collaboration within the technology department.
8. Monitor and analyse technology metrics, providing regular reports and insights to the executive team.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a CTO, Head of Engineering, or a similar leadership role within a fast-paced tech startup.
2. In-depth knowledge of cutting-edge technologies, software development methodologies, and cloud-based solutions.
3. Experience in developing and executing technology roadmaps aligned with business goals.
4. Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and nurturing high-performance teams.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
6. Strong business acumen and the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable insights for the executive team and non-technical partners.
7. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
