Job Role: Mechanical Supervisor Location: Dublin We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at a leading pharmaceutical plant in Dublin. The Mechanical Supervisor will oversee all mechanical maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability, GMP compliance, and continuous improvement within a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment. Key Responsibilities: Supervise the mechanical maintenance team, ensuring efficient execution of planned and unplanned maintenance activities in accordance with GMP standards. Ensure all mechanical systems, including HVAC, clean utilities (WFI, Purified Water, Steam), and process equipment, are maintained to the highest standards. Coordinate with production and engineering teams to support manufacturing operations with minimal downtime. Maintain detailed documentation and maintenance logs in compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory standards (GMP, FDA, HPRA). Assist in planning and executing preventive and predictive maintenance programs using CMMS. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for mechanical failures. Support qualification and validation activities for new and existing equipment. Ensure all maintenance work is performed safely and in compliance with EHS regulations. Monitor contractor performance, ensuring compliance with site procedures and safety standards. Provide training, development, and technical support to mechanical technicians. Required Qualifications and Experience: Degree or advanced diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role within a pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or highly regulated industry. Strong working knowledge of GMP, validation protocols, cleanroom practices, and pharmaceutical utilities. Proficiency with maintenance management systems (e.g., CMMS, SAP). Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams.
