DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

The Reception Department serves as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and staff, playing a crucial role in creating a positive and professional first impression. This department is responsible for managing front desk operations, handling inquiries, and ensuring seamless communication between guests and internal teams.

JOB OBJECTIVE

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Reception Team Leader to oversee and manage our front desk operations, ensuring a high standard of customer service and efficiency. This role involves supervising a team of receptionists, managing administrative tasks, and serving as the first point of contact for visitors and clients.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Ensure the reception area is welcoming, professional, and well-organised.
* Greet and assist visitors, clients, and staff in a friendly and efficient manner.
* Oversee check-ins, check-outs, and appointment scheduling.
* Manage phone calls, emails, and correspondence in a professional manner.
* Supervise reception staff, including scheduling rotas to ensure consistent front desk coverage.
* Maintain booking systems with accuracy and efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.
* Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth day-to-day operations.
* Act as the first point of contact for externally contracted cleaners across all Liverpool sites.
* Identify and implement improvements to reception processes and the client experience.
* Assist with event coordination and special projects, including hotel and event space bookings.
* Support staff with catering requirements for meetings and training sessions at MJ Quinn.
* Manage office supplies, including stationery and cleaning orders, as required.
* Take ownership of accommodation bookings for field-based staff.
* Produce detailed financial reports on business expenditure related to accommodation, catering, cleaning products, and stationery.

Hours of Work 40 hours per week Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (60mins lunch)
Rate of Pay £27,000-£29,000 p/a
Work Location MJ Quinn, Oak House, Overbrook Lane, Knowsley, L34 9FB
Travel Requirements You will be primarily based at the above address; however, you may be required to support staff at our other office locations.
Holiday Entitlements 6.6 week per annum, inclusive of bank holidays and company shutdowns.
