UNO Hotels is seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Cluster Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of two of our flagship properties: Grovefield House Hotel and UNO Thames Hotel.
Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this role is ideal for an experienced hotel department head looking to take the next step into senior hotel management. You will play a key role in driving operational excellence, guest satisfaction, team performance and profitability across both hotels.
This is a highly visible leadership role requiring a hands-on approach, strong people management skills and a passion for hospitality.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership
* Oversee the daily operation of both hotels.
* Ensure exceptional guest experiences across all departments.
* Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness and presentation.
* Conduct regular operational audits and quality inspections.
* Support the delivery of company SOPs and service standards.
* Act as senior Duty Manager when required.
Team Leadership
* Lead and motivate hotel teams across Reception, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Maintenance.
* Support recruitment, onboarding and training.
* Conduct performance reviews and regular team meetings.
* Develop future leaders within the business.
* Promote a positive and accountable workplace culture.
Commercial Performance
* Deliver departmental budgets and profitability targets.
* Monitor labour costs and operational expenditure.
* Support occupancy, ADR and revenue growth initiatives.
* Identify efficiencies and opportunities to improve profitability.
* Work closely with Sales and Revenue teams to maximise business opportunities.
Food & Beverage Operations
* Oversee restaurant, bar, breakfast and event operations.
* Drive service quality and guest satisfaction.
* Ensure food safety and licensing compliance.
* Support the delivery of profitable F&B operations.
Meetings, Events & Weddings
* Ensure successful operational delivery of weddings, conferences and private events.
* Coordinate closely with sales and event teams.
* Deliver exceptional guest experiences for all functions.
Compliance & Property Standards
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Food Safety and company procedures.
* Conduct regular audits and risk assessments.
* Oversee maintenance standards and preventative maintenance programmes.
* Support refurbishment and improvement projects where required.
What We're Looking ForEssential
* Currently working as a Head of Department within a hotel environment, such as:
* Front Office Manager
* Food & Beverage Manager
* Rooms Division Manager
* Revenue Manager
* Operations Manager
* Or a similar leadership role
* Proven experience leading teams and delivering operational results.
* Strong understanding of hotel operations across multiple departments.
* Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
* Commercial awareness with a focus on guest satisfaction and profitability.
* Ambition to progress into senior hotel leadership.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
* Experience within a full-service hotel.
* Conference, events and wedding experience.
* Budgeting and payroll exposure.
* Knowledge of hotel PMS and revenue systems.
* Multi-site or cluster experience.
