Job Title: Duty and Assessment Social Worker
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £35 per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Duty and Assessment Social Worker to join our team in Doncaster. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to referrals, conducting initial assessments, and making informed decisions regarding the most appropriate course of action to safeguard children at risk.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Receive and respond to referrals from various sources, including the public, professionals, and other agencies.
2. Conduct thorough and timely assessments of children and families to determine their needs and level of risk.
3. Work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and partner agencies to develop and implement appropriate intervention plans.
4. Provide advice, guidance, and support to colleagues and partner agencies regarding safeguarding issues and best practice.
5. Participate in duty rotas, including out-of-hours services, as required.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with organizational policies and statutory requirements.
7. Represent the organization at meetings, case conferences, and court proceedings as necessary.
Qualifications and Experience:
8. Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
9. Registered with Social Work England.
10. Previous experience working in a duty and assessment role within children's services.
11. Sound knowledge of child development, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation.
12. Excellent assessment, communication, and decision-making skills.
13. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload.
14. Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
