As a result of this growth, we are looking to recruit an EHS Advisor. The EHS Advisor will provide professional environmental, health & safety (EHS) advice, guidance, and support to construction project teams across the South of England and Midlands regions as well as visiting existing Data Centres to conduct site visits, reports and audits. The EHS Advisor will promote a positive safety culture, ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards, and drive continuous improvement in EHS performance. Key Responsibilities: Health & Safety Management Providecompetent advice on allEHSmatters to site and project management teams. Support the implementation of the company’sEHSpolicies, procedures, and management systems. Carry out regular site inspections,auditsand behavioural safety observations to ensure safe working practices aremaintained. Assistproject teams in preparing risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and safe systems of work. Monitor and reportEHSperformance indicators; contribute to monthly and project reporting. Lead orassistin accident and incident investigations, ensuring root cause analysis and follow-up actions. Deliver toolbox talks, site inductions, and safety briefings to staff and subcontractors. Promote behavioural safety and wellbeing initiatives across sites. Environmental Management Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, site waste management plans, and sustainability goals. Monitor site environmental performance, including waste segregation, spill control, noise, and dust management. Support environmental audits and improvement initiatives. Compliance & Continuous Improvement Stay up to date with changes in UKEHSlegislation and industry best practice (CDM 2015, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, etc). Support external audits, client inspections, and regulatory visits. Champion a culture of safety ownership across the workforce. Data Centre & High-Risk Activities Conduct regular site inspections in live data centre environments, including electrical rooms, plant areas, and contractor work zones. Support permit-to-work systems, including electrical safety, LOTO, confined spaces, and contractor controls. Provide guidance on electrical safety, critical infrastructure protection, and safe systems of work. Identifysecurity or safety-related concernsimpactingpeople or client infrastructure and report appropriately. Emergency Preparedness Support the development, implementation, and testing ofemergency response plans. Coordinate andparticipatein emergency drills with site teams and external responders. Ensure first aid, fire safety, and emergency arrangementsremaincompliant and effective. Audit & Continuous Improvement Support and conduct internal EHS audits and site compliance inspections. Assistwith client, regulatory, and certification audits asrequired. Monitor changesin country-specific legislationand support implementation across sites. Essential Qualifications: NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety (or equivalent). IOSH membership ( TechIOSH or above). Full UK driving licence(no more than 6 penalty points)and willingness to travel across the South and Midlands.Occasional travel within the EU. CSCS Card Desirable Qualifications: NEBOSH/ IOSHDiploma or working towards it. Environmental qualification (IEMA or equivalent). First Aid at Work and Fire Warden certificates. Experience & Skills: Experience in a health & safety role within the UK construction industry. Strong working knowledge of UK EHS legislation and Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. Experience working on live construction sites (civils, commercial or infrastructure). Experience of working on Data Centre construction sites a bonus. Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels. Confident preparing reports and presenting findings to management. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage workload across multiple sites. Work Pattern Full-time, Monday to Friday (some early starts/late finishes or overnight stays may berequired). Regional travel to sites across the South of England and Midlands. Hybrid/ Office working The role is a full-time position and based in the United Kingdom, and will include business travel as needed to meet business demands but will likely be nominal.
