Assessing Social Worker – Fostering Kinship Assessment Team
The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates ing for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

Join our dedicated Fostering Service as a Kinship Assessing Social Worker, where you will play a vital role in identifying and supporting family placements that help children thrive. Working within a specialist team, you'll complete full kinship assessments following viability checks, ensuring timely and appropriate placements.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a social worker with strong assessment skills, a deep understanding of attachment and trauma, and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

You will:
* Have a Social Work Degree and be registered with the Social Work England as a qualified Social Worker
* Know what excellence looks like and champion best practice
* Have a good working knowledge of fostering regulations, national minimum standards and the SGO offer
* Have a sound knowledge and/or experience of therapeutic support for fostering families
* Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Have sound safeguarding knowledge and experience
* Be able to make and maintain effective professional relationships
