This hands‑on, stakeholder-facing role involves managing a varied advisory caseload, helping leaders navigate complex people situations, and embedding a fair and consistent colleague experience.

* Advisory & Partnering with People Leaders
o Provide timely, practical advice to People Leaders on performance, development and employee relations, helping them take confident action aligned to policy and the Bank’s valued behaviours.
o Support People Leaders in managing complex or sensitive situations, with a focus on early intervention and informal resolution where appropriate, and guidance on formal ER processes.
o Diagnose root causes of people challenges and recommend practical, business‑aligned options.
* Talent & Performance Management
o Enable continuous performance management through coaching and guidance to People Leaders on development conversations.
o Support the delivery of a differentiated experience for high‑potential talent, including career discussions and development planning.
o Partner on key HR cycles such as talent identification, annual engagement survey action planning and year‑end performance and pay processes.
* HR Project Delivery
o Drive the implementation and execution of scalable HR projects aligned to the People Plan, including local regulatory purposes such as org design reviews and operating model implementations.
o Partner with Centres of Excellence (CoEs) to deliver integrated and consistent HR solutions.
o Adapt and embed communication strategies and insights from CoEs to meet business and cluster needs.
* Continuous Improvement & Insights
o Identify recurring people/leadership challenges and escalate trends to the HR Advisory Lead to inform policy, process or communication improvements or targeted interventions.
o Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of HR processes/programmes, recommending enhancements where needed.
o Ensure adherence to service standards, SLAs and global performance metrics.
* Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
o Build strong relationships across HR teams, including CoEs and Employee Relations specialists.
o Collaborate with business stakeholders to support delivery of people priorities and targeted initiatives.

Skills and Experience

* Strong generalist HR experience with a solid understanding of core HR disciplines.
* Proven ability to advise and influence People Leaders across a range of HR/ER matters, including confidence in handling formal employee relations casework.
* Experience in performance management, talent development and employee relations.
* Strong problem‑solving and diagnostic skills with a pragmatic, data‑led, solution‑oriented approach.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex conversations and build credibility at all levels.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

* Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or a related field.
* Professional HR certification (e.g. CIPD) desirable.
* Membership of a relevant professional body is an advantage.
* Fluency in English.

What We Offer

* Competitive salary and benefits supporting mental, physical, financial and social wellbeing.
* Core bank funding for retirement savings, medical and life insurance, with flexible and voluntary benefits in some locations.
* Time‑off including annual leave, parental/maternity (20 weeks), sabbatical (12 months maximum) and volunteering leave (3 days), with a minimum of 30 days combined.
* Flexible working options based on home and office locations, with flexible working patterns.
* Proactive wellbeing support through Unmind, a market‑leading digital wellbeing platform, resilience development courses, global Employee Assistance Programme, sick leave, mental health first‑aiders and self‑help toolkits.
* A continuous learning culture to support your growth, with opportunities to reskill and upskill and access to physical, virtual and digital learning.
