Salary: GBP31650 - GBP49084 per annum
Reporting to: Head of School
Hours: Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week)
We seek a dedicated and skilled teacher to join our team, committed to delivering high-quality education that prepares young people for adulthood. You will plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons within a meaningful curriculum tailored to learners' needs. Main Purpose:
To deliver high-quality teaching and learning to children and young people with severe, profound, and multiple learning difficulties and complex needs, including ASD.
Requirements:
* PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training (essential)
* Working knowledge of the Teacher Standards and expectations
* Knowledge and personal experience of SEN learning, particularly sensory-led curriculum
* Positive team working, being able to contribute to our established team
* Diligence and accuracy in assessing, reporting, and recording
* The ability to lead and direct other adults supporting within the class
* The role may require participation in physical intervention and personal care routines
Key Duties:
* To contribute to the delivery and development of the curriculum, considering the educational, physical, and social needs of the students within a suitable learning environment.
* Collaborate with other staff members as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* Maintain and utilize short, medium, and long-term plans in delivering the curriculum.
* Set, monitor, and review personalized targets to optimize learning for each individual.
* Monitor, assess, review, and report on student progress to parents, team members, senior staff, and funding bodies through reports and meetings.
* Maintain knowledge through training and research where appropriate.
* Develop lesson plans, analyzing and self-reflecting on outcomes.
* Attend and contribute to relevant meetings, maintaining good communication with staff.
* Contribute to the review of Statements, EHC plans, PEP, and LAC reviews.
