Our established client in Dover is looking for an Asbestos and H&S Supervisor

Salary: up to £40K DOE

As Asbestos and H&S Supervisor you will:
* Undertake the role of Appointed Person Asbestos on behalf of the company
* Prepare and maintain the Asbestos Management Plan
* Plan and manage asbestos surveys and inspections, maintain & update the Asbestos Register.
* Appoint Licensed Asbestos Removal Contractors to undertake removal and/or remedial works, and to undertake surveys and periodic inspections.
* Technical oversight and supervision of project works
* Prepare training material and provide training to staff and stakeholders
* Undertake broader H&S activities:
* Promote H&S initiatives and act as an internal H&S Engineering advisor.
* Drive improvements in processes to reduce health & safety risks.
* Liaise with stakeholders to ensure engagement and commitment.
* Review RAMS, and undertake site inspections to identify opportunities
* Recommend improvements to engineering tasks
Asbestos and H&S Supervisor - Skills and Qualifications
* Technical, construction, building or trade background
* Qualified in P405 Management of Asbestos in Buildings
* Relevant H&S management qualification e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS or similar.
* Conversant with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and Health & Safety Guidance (HSG) publications applicable to Asbestos.
* Understanding of Risk Management and compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards, along with working knowledge of CDM 2015.
