We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Learning, Development & Staff Experience. This role provides leadership to our Learning, Organisational Development, and Staff Experience functions, ensuring we have a motivated, skilled, valued, and engaged workforce committed to delivering the healthiest life possible for everyone in Ayrshire and Arran.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in organisational development, culture change, and learning and development, with a passion for transformation through collaboration and innovation, including digital learning. NHS Ayrshire & Arran is undertaking a culture reform program, and the postholder will play a key role in advancing this agenda and embedding core organisational values of safety, caring, and respect.
The postholder will set the strategic direction for developing our culture and ensure our learning and development approaches support this goal, aligned with NHS Scotland policies. They will work with local forums such as the Area Partnership Forum and Staff Governance Committee, as well as regionally and nationally with other NHS Boards.
Requirements include a Masters level education in a relevant discipline or equivalent, professional membership of CIPD, and substantial operational experience in learning and development. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels are essential.
