A leading firm is seeking a Solicitor to join their Education team which sits within the Court of Protection team.
This is a high-autonomy role, offering client-facing responsibility, varied caseloads, and the opportunity to develop a specialist practice in SEN, EHCPs, admissions, exclusions, and related Education Law matters.
Location - Remote working / flexible hours - must be able to commute to the NORTH EAST / YORKSHIRE
The Role
* Manage a diverse caseload from instruction to resolution.
* Provide clear, practical, and empathetic legal advice to parents, students, and education providers.
* Represent clients in SEND Tribunal hearings and other proceedings, undertaking advocacy and instructing Counsel where appropriate.
* Contribute to business development by building relationships, attending networking events, and raising the firm’s profile in Education Law.
* Ensure work contributes to departmental success through accurate billing, case management, and timely reporting.
Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor with 3–5 years PQE, ideally with a focus on Education Law.
* Proven experience advising on SEN, EHCPs, admissions, exclusions, and discrimination matters.
* Strong advocacy, negotiation, drafting, and client care skills.
