Role and Responsibilities
* Dealing with complex electrical and electronic breakdowns and repairs
* Working on various automation and controls, HMis, production and packaging machinery
* PLC: electrical fault finding, troubleshooting and modifications to existing code
* Fault finding and interrogation of circuits, variable speed drives, AC drives, control panels, inverters
* Electrical isolation, safety and LOTO
* Upgrade projects: installation, testing, inspection and commissioning
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Must be an experienced electrical / electronics engineer
* Knowledge of electrical safety, isolation and LOTO procedures
* PLC: electrical fault finding, troubleshooting and modifications: Siemens
* NVQ Level 3 or higher in electrical or electronic engineering
* Ideally have completed a time:served:apprenticeship
* Must have worked in a fast:paced manufacturing environment previously
* Able to read and interpret electrical and control schematics
* Worked on circuits, inverters, instrumentation, control panels, variable speed drives, HMis
