About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Liverpool‑based team, working across a diverse portfolio of build and refurbishment projects within the commercial and public sectors. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high‑quality, cost‑effective projects from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all cost and commercial aspects of assigned construction and refurbishment projects.
* Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation.
* Conduct cost planning and value engineering exercises throughout design development.
* Oversee procurement, including subcontractor tendering and contract negotiation.
* Provide ongoing cost reporting and financial management to ensure projects are delivered on budget.
* Assess and certify subcontractor payments and variations.
* Prepare and agree final accounts.
* Liaise with clients, project managers, contractors, and design teams to maintain smooth project delivery.
* Ensure all work complies with company standards, contracts, and health & safety requirements.
Skills & Experience Required
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
* Minimum 3 years’ post‑graduate experience (intermediate/senior roles considered).
* Proven background in both new build and refurbishment projects.
* Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
* Proficient in cost management software and MS Office.
* Membership of RICS (or working towards) desirable.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively within a team environment.
