Job Description
Join our dynamic Chemical Manufacturing team as a Senior Process Chemist, where you'll drive process optimization and innovation in active ingredient production. This role combines hands-on laboratory work with data-driven decision making to enhance our manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and deliver sustainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and execute chemical process development work on new and existing processes
* Interpret plant data and conduct laboratory investigations
* Generate and lead improvement projects from planning through implementation
* Communicate with cross-functional teams to exchange information and progress development work
* Maintain detailed documentation in lab notebooks and technical reports
* Ensure compliance with site, company, and regulatory requirements
* Contribute to innovation through knowledge sharing and proactive idea development
Qualifications
* PhD in Chemistry OR Masters in Chemistry with 2+ years industrial experience
* Excellent practical skills in experimental and analytical techniques
* Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
* Experience with literature searching and information systems
* Proven ability to plan work independently over extended periods
* Effective communication skills across various formats and cross-functional teams
* Strong focus on safety and compliance
* Digital chemistry knowledge (automation, coding, large language models)
* Statistical analysis expertise
* Process development experience
* Analytical method development capabilities
