Trade Counter Sales – Builders Merchant

Interaction Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Trade Counter Sales professional from a builders merchant background to join a busy and well-established client based in Halifax.
Working Hours:
1. Monday to Friday: 07:00 – 16:30
2. Saturday: 07:00 – 10:30
Key Responsibilities:
3. Serving customers face-to-face on the trade counter
4. Handling enquiries via phone and email
5. Preparing and sending quotations
6. Processing sales orders accurately
7. Building strong relationships with new and existing customers
8. Generating new business and re-engaging lapsed accounts
9. Supporting yard and back-office teams
10. Providing expert product knowledge and advice
Essential Requirements:
11. Previous trade counter experience
12. Background within a builders merchant environment
13. Confident and professional with customers
14. Strong numerical skills (margins & quantities)
15. Computer literate
16. Able to work Monday to Saturday
17. Local to Halifax or able to commute easily
18. Excellent telephone manner
