Subject Specialism
A specialism in Maths or English would be highly desirable. However, the ability and willingness to teach across a range of subjects is essential to meet the diverse needs of learners within this specialist setting.
About the Role
Previous experience in a special needs setting is not essential. We are looking for teachers who are committed, reflective and motivated to make a genuine difference.
You will:
Lead and inspire a curious and effective class team
Foster a creative and solution-focused learning environment
Deliver high-quality teaching with ambitious expectations for every learner
Plan highly individualised learning pathways tailored to each pupil
Contribute meaningfully to Annual Reviews and collaborative work with families
Listen and respond to the many ‘voices around the learner’ to shape provision
Support team development through performance management and training
Work alongside Curriculum Leaders to plan, assess and review learning
Support quality assurance alongside the Senior Leadership Team
Maintain excellent communication and safeguarding practices
Track and narrate learner progress and next steps
Contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the school
