What's involved with this role: Job Title: Social Care Admin Officer Ref: Newcastle 5276035 Pay rate: £16.37 per hour PAYE Role length: Anticipated 2 - 3 months DBS requirement: An Enhanced DBS is required Additional requirement: Driving Licence is required The role: We are looking for a Social Care Admin Officer to assist the Social Work Teams in delivering services in accordance with agreed objectives, quality and performance standards, that will improve the outcomes for children and their families. Key responsibilities: To assist Social Work Teams with case work ensuring that children and families receive support that is consistent, integrated and is of the highest standard To provide information for reports, meetings, conferences, etc, to agreed standards To maintain high quality safeguarding standards for children, reporting concerns promptly to the Family Time Supervisor To update and maintain computer and written records in accordance with Directorate guidelines ensuring the quality of the information noted is accurate and up to date To participate in meetings in respect of families To establish and promote effective working relationships with external partners, agencies and other sections of the Directorate that will improve practice and outcomes for children and families To administer petty cash in accordance with the Authority and the Directorate's financial regulations and procedures What the client is looking for: Experience working within social care or supporting social work teams Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with families, professionals, and partner agencies Excellent administrative skills The ability to gather and present accurate information for reports, meetings, and conferences A clear understanding of safeguarding principles and the ability to report concerns promptly Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate computerised and written records Confidence in attending and contributing to meetings regarding family cases Familiarity with financial procedures, including petty cash handling A collaborative, team-focused approach, with a drive to deliver positive outcomes for children and families How to Apply: Quote the Job Title and Reference Number in your application.
