The facilitator will work closely with education, health specialists, and parent carers to shape whole school SEND provision, provide early interventions, upskill school staff, and strengthen partnerships between schools and parent carers. They will be supervised by a School Engagement Lead or Team Lead. The PINS programme aims to address the diverse needs of neurodiverse children and families within schools by providing tailored support services. The programme focuses on facilitating self-assessment processes in schools, developing bespoke training plans, and fostering collaboration among key stakeholders to drive systemic change. The programme will pave the way for inclusive education environments that empower neurodiverse individuals to thrive.

Base: Your base will be Swindon Health Centre in Swindon; however, travel is required to cover the Swindon patch.


Key Responsibilities:

1. The Neurodiversity Inclusion Facilitator will play a pivotal role in the Partnerships for Inclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools (PINS) project, aimed at enhancing outcomes for neurodiverse students in mainstream primary schools.
2. Collaborate with education, health specialists, and parent carers to assess and shape whole school SEND provision.
3. Develop schools' confidence and expertise in supporting neurodiversity within classrooms through consultation and practical assistance.
4. Identify and implement strategies to improve the school environment to better accommodate neurodiverse students' needs and enhance their engagement in learning.
5. Foster an inclusive culture within schools that amplifies the efficacy of other interventions and promotes the well-being of all students.


Qualifications and Experience:

* Relevant undergraduate degree, or evidence of working at degree level.
* Confidence to deliver training to teachers and parents.
* Proven experience working with neurodiverse students in educational settings, with a deep understanding of neurodiversity and its impact on learning.
* Familiarity with SEND provision in mainstream schools, including relevant policies, practices, and legislation.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including school staff, health specialists, and parent carers.
* Experience delivering training sessions or workshops to educators on neurodiversity-related topics.
* Ability to assess school environments and identify areas for improvement to better support neurodiverse students.
* Passion for inclusion and a commitment to promoting positive outcomes for neurodiverse students in mainstream education.


Additional Information:

* This is a full-time position based in Swindon, with flexibility to meet the needs of children and young people.
* The successful candidate will undergo relevant training and induction processes upon appointment.
* Travel within the region will be required; a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes are essential.
