We're looking for proactive and skilled Shift Engineers or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment based in the Milton Keynes area. Your Responsibilities:
Responding quickly to equipment breakdowns and carrying out effective fault diagnosis and repairs to minimise downtime
Delivering planned maintenance activities and recommending improvements to maximise asset performance
Supporting production teams by operating machinery when required to maintain output and efficiency
Ensuring all engineering work is completed in line with health & safety and hygiene standards
Maintaining accurate records including downtime logs, maintenance reports, and shift handovers
Using technical documentation and mechanical drawings to identify and source correct replacement parts
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and supporting engineering projects
Our Requirements:
A recognised qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC)
Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environment (5+ years preferrable)
Strong fault-finding skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving
Good understanding of maintenance systems and engineering best practices
Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure
A proactive attitude with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
