Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Stocken, a Category C Prison located in Oakham. The Pharmacy is not a dispensary; there are six dispenser hatches within medication/administration points. The team includes a Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician, and a Dispenser.
Bank Hours
* Weekdays - 7.30am - 5.30pm
* Weekends - 8.30am - 5.30pm
Bank Hourly Rate
* Weekdays £21.76
* Weekends £23.61
* Bank Holidays £28.33

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK. Due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Responsibilities
* Provide outstanding patient‑centred care, seeking out, listening to, and acting on patient feedback to personalise care.
* Ensure safe and secure medicines management, maintaining patient medical records to agreed standard and following SOPs.
* Deliver non‑judgemental care within the scope of professional standards, from timely administration of medicines to analysing cost‑effective prescribing.
* Work as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 or above, BTEC or equivalent.
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD).
* Relevant post‑qualification pharmacy experience.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures.
Experience
* Ideal: experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
