Social media is by far our most important way to reach the young people we support and the wider community. It’s how we show what we do, celebrate participants’ creativity, and challenge stigma around mobility aids.
A skilled Social Media Manager will help us make this work better by shaping our strategy, creating engaging content, and helping us reach more people. The difference they make will bring more young people joining workshops, more awareness of our mission, and stronger visibility for our community’s voices and creativity.
This role gives a volunteer the chance to have a tangible impact on how we grow, connect, and share what we do, helping The Confetti Club continue to empower disabled young people to feel confident, proud, and seen.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who knows social media inside out and can help us use it to reach more people and showcase the creativity of our participants. You’ll have experience managing social media for an organisation, brand, or campaign, and feel confident creating content, planning posts, and using analytics to see what works.
We want someone who cares about disability inclusion, young people’s empowerment, and giving participants the confidence to express themselves. Being friendly, adaptable, and happy to work as part of a small, collaborative team is just as important.
What will you be doing?
We are looking for a skilled Social Media Manager to help us share our work, connect with our community, and reach more people. This is a volunteer role with real impact you’ll lead our social media strategy and help shape how we communicate online.
What You’ll Do
* Lead our strategy. Develop and deliver a social media plan that grows our online presence, engages our community, and showcases the creativity and confidence of participants. Social media is the core of our strategy and we need some specialist help from an expert when it comes to Linkedin etc!
* Content planning and creation. Help bring our work to life online. This could involve writing posts, coordinating photography or video, designing graphics, or sharing stories from workshops and artist collaborations.
* Community engagement. Respond to comments and messages, and help nurture a positive, supportive online space that reflects our values.
* Measure and improve. Track engagement and reach, and use the data to suggest ways to make our social media more effective.
* Collaborate with our team. Work alongside staff, artists, and volunteers to ensure content and messaging is inclusive, authentic, and aligned with our mission.
As a Social Media Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping how our work is seen and celebrated online. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with practical implementation and wants to make a meaningful difference in young people’s lives.
