The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.
If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
We are looking for someone who has a proven and consistent track record as an excellent class teacher, has a clear understanding of how to achieve the best possible outcomes for all pupils, particularly those with SEND, and is passionate and inspirational about teaching and learning. You will be able to articulate demonstrable evidence of this over time. The successful candidate will prioritise building strong relationships and connections with both children and adults and will have the vision, passion and drive to achieve excellent outcomes for all pupils.
You will:
1. Have a proven track record of excellent teaching.
2. Have an excellent understanding of teaching and learning across the primary age range.
3. Have an understanding of high-quality provision for children with a wide range of SEND needs.
4. Be able to inspire high quality teaching and learning, particularly in relation to SEND by modelling and striving for excellent practice.
5. Be able to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people with SEND; academically, socially and emotionally.
6. Be able to support staff to be continually reflective and able to identify and respond to pupils with SEND.
7. Be able to provide a good universal offer of high quality inclusive teaching and learning provision in all classrooms by effectively equipping staff with knowledge and skills.
8. Have vision, passion and drive to raise attainment and achieve excellent outcomes for all pupils.
9. Be able to lead others across the team in providing the best possible learning for our pupils.
10. Be able to work independently, and as part of the leadership team, to continue to move the school forwards.
11. Have a desire to develop your own skills and career progression.
12. Be a positive role model for staff.
Professional qualifications required:
13. Degree or equivalent
14. Qualified teacher status
15. Relevant SEND qualification (NASENCO or equivalent)
16. Evidence of recent and relevant CPD

The expectations of this role will require you to have a teaching commitment, but time will be allocated for leadership of SEND, out of class.
