Senior Qualified Social Worker

Pay rate: £35 per hour
We are seeking experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join our dedicated Court Team. As part of this team, you will work in a busy, supportive environment assessing and working with children and families, intervening early to provide support. Your responsibilities will include undertaking assessments for permanence planning, such as parenting, sibling, viability, and SGO assessments, and preparing care plans and evidence for court proceedings.
You will manage cases involving children with adoption plans, attend panels, prepare matching reports, and collaborate with agencies including police and health to achieve positive outcomes. The service maintains strong links with Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help teams to promote community support when social care intervention is no longer needed.
Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, you will support the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services. Your professional knowledge and experience will guide assessments and interventions. Using your social work expertise and communication skills, you will build relationships with service users and agencies to meet their needs.

Ideal candidate will be:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
* Experienced in working with children and vulnerable groups
* Experienced in Court, Children in Need, and Child Protection cases
* Supporting child and family planning, pre-proceedings, and court processes
* Knowledgeable about factors impacting children, including abuse and neglect
* Skilled in Child & Family Assessments, with effective analysis, decision-making, planning, and review skills
* Capable of direct work with children and families
* Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking
* Knowledgeable of Child Protection legislation and issues
* Dedicated to continuous improvement for better outcomes
* Excellent at mediation and negotiation
* Skilled in building meaningful relationships with children and families
* Committed to high-quality service delivery
* Experienced in multidisciplinary, interagency work
* At least 2 years qualified experience
In this role, you will:
* Assess risks, protection, and social care needs
* Manage an agreed caseload
* Use communication skills to achieve outcomes
* Develop individual care plans promoting dignity and empowerment
