We are looking for an excellent arts specialist lecturer with outstanding creative skills and someone who has the ability to continue the high-quality provision already provided on our Foundation Diploma Art and Design programme.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in teaching illustration and animation at Level 3 and be fully conversant with the current UALab specifications. Live projects and industry engagement are an integral part of the Foundation Diploma course and the successful candidate will be expected to help deliver on this aspect.
Our students achieve outstanding results and progress to some of the world’s leading universities and institutions to continue their creative education. As such, applications are invited from candidates who are highly experienced, dynamic teachers, able to take risks with creative approaches to teaching and are suitably qualified in the breadth and depth of art and design/Illustration subjects. This will include, but not be limited to; all aspects of illustration, drawing, printmaking, painting, digital arts, design and the ability to work with Adobe Creative Suite soft ware. Ideally, candidates will have experience of the UCAS process and of supporting students in developing their portfolios and statements in readiness for progression.
All Art and Design students at Brighton MET benefit from access to a range of well resourced, creative workshops including wood, metals, ceramics, photography, film, media, animation, printmaking and more. The department is fully supported by a team of dedicated specialist technicians and we have an art shop on site. This exciting position is sessional and permanent with an immediate start date.
