Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Rail team focused on UK Light Rail. This role involves working from home with travel across the UK to engage with Light Rail customers and prospects.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement sales strategies for the UK Light Rail market.
* Drive sales growth and profitability within the Rail sector.
* Engage with stakeholders in local authorities, transport operators, and government bodies.
* Maintain high customer satisfaction and advocacy.
* Collaborate with bid teams to develop customer-focused proposals.
* Manage existing Light Rail clients and generate new leads using data analysis.
* Utilize Salesforce and Sales Plans for accurate forecasting and pipeline management.
Candidate Requirements:
Applicants should have prior experience as a Business Development or Sales Manager within the UK Light Rail sector, with:
* Experience in account management and sales to the Light Rail market in the UK.
* A proactive approach to new business development.
* Understanding of procurement processes and market dynamics.
* Strong relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders.
* Ability to analyze data for solution development.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
