About the role This is a Project Worker role where you will work in a team to provide support to individuals experiencing homelessness. You will be working with a diverse group of people from varying backgrounds, some of whom may have experienced trauma and may have complex needs, suffering with their mental health as well as low level substance and alcohol issues. Supporting people to make positive, informed choices to move forwards in their lives to enable them to manage their tenancies and so preventing further homelessness. Every day is different, you’ll be learning new skills and have opportunity to work with a variety of agencies for the benefit of our clients. We engage with the people we support through positive meaningful activities and provide a Psychologically Informed Environment. Day to day duties: Undertake assessment for move on provision from B&B temporary accommodation Undertake support pre and post resettlement Engage clients in setting up a client consortium to access further funding for wellbeing activities Liaise with external agencies through effective relationship building and networking Skills and Experience Needed Have knowledge of housing related support and the benefits system To be organised and have good IT skills A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations Driving licence and access to a car Full list of duties and can found on the Job description.
