The Operations Control Analyst will be responsible for supporting the monitoring, investigating, and reporting of mortgage performance across the lifecycle of our mortgage book. Reporting to the Business Governance Manager, the successful candidate will focus on the mortgage book hosted on Mainframe and will support the Business Governance Manager with risk management associated with the mortgages hosted on this platform.

For this job, you'll be located at our nearest regional hub. There will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration events in one of our office sites. This is anticipated to be monthly in Gosforth. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works.
What you’ll be doing
Investigate complex queries on mortgage accounts held on the Mainframe system, monitor customer accounts to ensure performance, produce management information that supports broader control reporting, share insights with colleagues to strengthen ways of working, support changes impacting existing customers including customer mailings, and work closely with the Business Governance Manager to meet reporting deadlines and contribute to overall control and oversight of mortgage operations.
About you
* Experience of Virgin Money mortgage systems, including Mainframe, OMIGA and FDP.
* Experience in processing within the Mainframe platform.
* A strong ability to deliver accurate work with excellent attention to detail.
* The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Confidence in taking responsibility and being fully accountable for your work.
* Sound decision-making and critical thinking skills.
* Excellent communication and presenting skills, with the ability to present work clearly to leaders across the mortgage business.
* Proven interpersonal skills, enabling positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience or knowledge of services across Operational Services.
