I am working with a well-known Fylde Coast Client who are looking for an experienced and driven Payroll Assistant to join their well-established team. What You'll Be Doing:
* Taking ownership of end-to-end payroll processing for over employees, with a laser focus on accuracy and compliance.
* Making smart, considered decisions to ensure payroll runs smoothly and efficiently.
* Managing absence tracking and calculations, including statutory payments including SMP, SSP and long term sickness
* Handling timesheets, attachments of earnings, and employee benefit administration (pensions, childcare vouchers, etc.).
* Being a go-to expert - supporting colleagues with payroll queries and working with stakeholders across the business.
* Assisting with the day-to-day management of the payroll inbox and ensuring timely responses and resolutions.
* Supporting wider team initiatives and ad hoc projects within the Payroll & Benefits function.
Who You Are:
* Detail-driven with at least 3 years payroll experience and a genuine passion for accuracy and attention to detail
* Analytical, organised, and confident when it comes to working with data and systems.
* A proactive problem-solver who's not afraid to take initiative and improve processes.
* A team player who takes pride in being a trusted source of knowledge and support.
