Snowford Grange Counselling & Psychotherapy Ltd is an award-winning, school-based counselling service operating across Warwickshire. For over 15 years, we've partnered with more than 100 schools to provide consistent, vital mental health support to children and young people.
The Role:
We are looking for qualified, motivated counsellors to deliver 1:1 counselling sessions in primary schools. This self-employed role offers flexible working hours within the school day, term-time only. Counsellors typically work between one and four days per week.
What You'll Do:
· Provide confidential, one-to-one therapeutic counselling to primary school children
· Manage your own caseload independently
· Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals
· Maintain accurate client records in line with GDPR and ethical standards
· Participate in safeguarding training, adhere to safeguarding policies, and practice in accordance with appropriate counselling ethical frameworks
What We're Looking For:
· Qualified counsellor (Level 4 Diploma or equivalent)
· Membership with a UK professional body (e.g., BACP, UKCP, NCPS)
· Professional indemnity insurance
· Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain before starting)
· Experience working therapeutically with children preferred
· Ability to work independently within a school environment
· Registered or willing to register as self-employed with HMRC
