This 8-month FTC role provides senior legal expertise across data protection, intellectual property and related areas of commercial law. The successful candidate will deliver pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice that supports business initiatives while ensuring compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, the role will ensure legal input into commercial projects and transactions is delivered efficiently and aligned with the organisation’s risk framework and strategic priorities.
Responsibilities:
* Provide senior legal guidance on matters relating to data protection, intellectual property, consumer law, advertising and broader commercial legal issues.
* Oversee the provision of legal support for commercial arrangements, ensuring matters progress efficiently and within agreed timelines.
* Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the business.
* Identify opportunities to streamline legal support.
* Manage the engagement of external legal advisers where specialist expertise or additional capacity is required.
* Monitor market developments, emerging legal trends and best practices to ensure the organisation’s legal approach remains current and effective.
Skills:
* Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with approximately 15+ years’ post-qualification experience.
* Extensive expertise in data privacy, intellectual property and commercial law is essential.
* Familiarity with technology-related legal matters would be advantageous.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders, influence decision-making and achieve positive commercial outcomes.
