Job Summary
New independent community focused veterinary practice opening in the heart of Haslingden, Rossendale, offering affordable services and educational workshops. We are seeking our second dedicated and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing exceptional veterinary care. This role involves diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, performing surgical procedures, and collaborating with a team of veterinary professionals to ensure the highest standards of care.
Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough examinations of animals to diagnose health issues
* Develop and implement treatment plans for various conditions
* Perform surgical procedures, including routine and emergency surgeries
* Administer anaesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures
* Provide post-operative care and follow-up consultations with pet owners
* Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients
* Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations
* Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities
Experience
* Proven veterinary experience is essential, with a focus on both clinical practice and surgical skills
* Laboratory experience is advantageous, particularly in diagnostic testing and analysis
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Renumeration
* Salary of £45K - £65K
* RCVS and VDS fees paid and one membership of your choice
* CPD allowance, with career progression encouraged
* No OOH
