Job Objectives and Responsibilities
1. Report directly to the Account Manager; manage teams across Security Control Room, Front of House, Loading Bay, and Main Estates.
2. Oversee CCTV, access control, and alarm systems, ensuring compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
3. Be familiar with all life safety systems; respond promptly to emergencies as per plans.
4. Ensure adherence to site and company procedures; review and recommend improvements.
5. Lead out-of-hours operations, handle incidents, and escalate when necessary.
6. Design and implement new security procedures; test and integrate security measures.
7. Create and execute training plans; conduct 1-on-1 meetings to clarify roles and responsibilities.
8. Ensure all personnel are trained, licensed, and equipped appropriately.
9. Maintain excellent relationships with staff and clients; adopt a partnership approach.
Main Duties
1. Schedule staff effectively, ensuring site coverage according to contract specifications.
2. Ensure staff compliance with uniform and PPE standards; maintain accurate site documentation.
3. Handle incidents professionally; report and escalate with detailed documentation.
4. Monitor and report on equipment status; coordinate repairs.
5. Develop and review security procedures and instructions with the Account Manager.
6. Investigate incidents involving Mitie personnel; involve HR as needed.
7. Recruit and onboard new staff; conduct interviews and training.
8. Manage uniform stock and training schedules; conduct scenario and refresher training.
9. Hold regular welfare/wellbeing meetings; conduct appraisals and reviews.
