Our client, a leading organisation in the construction industry, is looking for a Management Accountant to join their team. Key Responsibilities:
Management Reporting:
* Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
* Maintain balance sheet accuracy through monthly reviews.
* Produce monthly job costing analysis for commercial teams.
* Support the business partner in maintaining dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs)
* Build strong relationships across the business to understand operational challenges and opportunities, especially regarding intercompany transactions within the organisation.
* Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
* Monitor performance against budget and provide commentary on variances.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Qualified or part-qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with relevant experience in management accounting.
* Strong commercial acumen and a proactive, analytical mindset.
* Proven experience in producing management accounts and financial analysis.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence non-finance stakeholders.
* Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Construction background is preferable but not essential.
