Job Description:
We're seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled AOI Technician to help ensure the highest standards of product quality through advanced inspection processes.
In this role, you'll operate and optimise CyberOptics 3D AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) systems, ensuring consistent and accurate inspections that meet internal and industry-wide quality standards. You'll initially work closely with the Process Engineering team to enhance AOI programming and inspection workflows.
As you grow in the role, you'll take ownership of continuous improvement initiatives—ensuring inspection capabilities evolve alongside software advancements and production needs.

AOI Technician - Key Responsibilities:
Develop, program, and optimise 3D AOI inspection routines using CyberOptics systems
Perform detailed First Article Inspections (FAI) to validate PCB assemblies
Train and support AOI operators to ensure consistent inspection standards
Analyse inspection results and collaborate with Engineering and Production teams
Maintain and update AOI programs for design changes, NPIs, and software updates
Ensure inspection processes meet internal standards and IPC-A-610 requirements
Contribute to continuous improvement and yield enhancement initiatives
Person Specification - AOI Technician :
Experience operating AOI equipment (CyberOptics, Koh Young, Mirtec, Omron, or similar)
Familiarity with SMT and PCB assembly processes
Ability to read assembly drawings and interpret placement files
Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
Basic computer literacy and experience with inspection software
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and follow instructions
